Can you imagine how you would feel if you had the same struggles as Panchito?
It is hard to imagine but I try to imagine a life in poverty. I am not how i would feel but most likely like Panchito with fear to being deported because he was undocumented. I think i would have anger to see injustice in front of my face and at first not being able to say anything because I am undocumented. To not have the same rights as American people because i'm Mexican. Even though I would feel proud of myself for all my hard work. My biggest proudnees would be the sacrifice of not being with my family to attend school. I would also have a good feeling giving my weekends to farm working so I could send money to my parents in Guadalajara and my dad could get medical treatment in his back. That is how i would feel if i had the same struggles as Panchito.
Why do you think Peggy's parents stereotyped Panchito right after seeing him?
After going with Peggy to her house, Peggy's parents seemed uneasy with Panchito around them, as if they felt uncomfortable. This was most likely caused because they have fallen into the stereotype of all mexicans being dirty or somewhat violent in nature. Another stereotype is how people think that mexicans aren't even nice or friendly to Americans or that they're somewhat more violent than the Americans at school. It makes Panchito, most likely, feel uneasy or bad around her parents. He most likely thinks that Peggy is ignoring him due to her parents telling her to avoid Panchito at all costs. -Giancarlo Caballero~Stepping Out
Does religion/spirituality help or hurt people in poverty?
I think religion and spirituality does help people in poverty because it gives people hope. More then hope it gives them something to believe and rely on . It helps them see the bright side of things. Religion also can help them stay positive. I think The only way that religion or spirituality can hurt someone in poverty is if they start to question the reasonings of their religion.

Roberto and Panchito work 7 days a week , go to school and study on saturday nights. Do you think today's generation of generation of teenagers have the same work /family ethic and values?
Defenitly today's generation of teenagers don't have the same work and family ethic values. For example , today's teenagers would work but they will keep the money for themselves instead of helping the family. Or Today's teenagers won't either work 7 days a week. I am sure this generation won't like to study on Saturday nights and would not like to study in a weekend night. As well we don't have the same family values as teenagers back in the day because now we are disrespectful to our parents. We might yell , respond back and some teenagers even say bad words. I think this is because we all now have it easy meaning we don't have to struggle that much as past generations did.
